Reshaping Historical Figures
In 2021, Hanoi Queer and their project Vietnam Queer History Month wanted to create 3 videos inspired by their previous campaign about LGBTQI+ history in Vietnam. I directed and produced these 3 films with different crews and styles.
The films were screened at SEAQCF - Southeast Asia Queer Cultural Festival 2021.
The film featured here is a stop-motion collage piece made together with members of Hanoi Queer. The film features real historical figures from Vietnam whose stories carry remarkably queer and fascinating folklore.
