The Factory

Project Overview
“Nhà Máy” (The Factory) is a short animated film produced in 2015. The 4-minute film tells the story of a boy named Phan and his journey as he discovers a mysterious factory quietly seeking to alter the course of childhood.
The film was the graduation project that earned Valedictorian of the Animation Department at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. It also received an Encouragement Award at the Ong Vang Film Festival 2015 and was screened at Viet Film Fest 2016.
The soundtrack for the trailer, Dirty Night Clown by Chris Garneau, was one of the film’s key inspirations.

Achievements
The film was screened at the 2025 Golden Bee Film Festival and Viet Film Fest 2025. At the Golden Bee awards ceremony, The Factory received a Consolation Prize, notably being the only animated film among the nominees.
